Fellowship, Freemasonry, DeMolay and Charity...these are what drives these gentlemen to drive to Camp Aguinaldo Logcom Driving range yesterday October 14, 2008, to hone their driving skills for the upcoming Jacques DeMolay Memorial Lodge No. 305, F.& A.M.'s Golf Fund Drive - the GOLF FORE CHARITY. Led by its three lights, WM Jonathan Denver C. Cuezon, SW Francis E. Blanco and JW Ariel V. Gumabon, the brethren of Jacques DeMolay Memorial Lodge No. 305, with golf enthusiast, VW Gigi Ancajas, Bro. Wawel Verdadero and Bro. Ramon Bernal, practiced their skills in driving in preparation for the Lodge's GOLF FORE CHARITY fund drive on November 6, 2008.
The GOLF FORE CHARITY fund drive is for the benefit of the orphans and street children at the KANLUNGAN SA ERMA. Kanlungan sa ERMA is a long established partner-beneficiary of Jacques DeMolay Memorial Lodge 305's Charity campaigns. According to its website ;
The word "Kanlungan" means sanctuary or refuge. ERMA stands for Ermita- Malate ( the former red light district areas.

It is governed by a Board of Trustees composed of men and women who understand social responsibility and justice, men and women who are committed and dedicated to serve the less fortunate children.

Bro. Ferdinand John M. Gaerlan was raised to the Sublime Degree of Master Mason in Jacques DeMolay Memorial Lodge No.305 yesterday, September 12,2008 at Conrado Benitez Hall, Scottish Rite Temple. Bro. Ferdie Gaerlan, is Past Master Councilor and Blue Honor Key awardee of University Chapter, Order of DeMolay. He is the third Gaerlan member of Jacques DeMolay Memorial Lodge 305, following a cousin, Bro. Samuel H. Gaerlan, who is Charter member of the Lodge and also a DeMolay, and his biological brother, Bro. Cris M. Gaerlan, also a Past Master Councilor of University Chapter, Order of DeMolay. It was a well performed conferral witnessed by visiting brethren from other Lodges, the Grand Lodge Inspector for JDML 305, WI Rey Tomampo and the three District Grand Lecturers of Masonic District NCR-A, VW Paul Ibasco, VW Raymond Padua and VW Wilson Lee. The elected officers of the lodge performed their respective parts and supported by a cast composed of JDML 305 Past Masters, VW Gigi Ancajas, VW Jojo Javier, WB Wilson Lee and WI Manny Valloso. Worshipful Master Jonathan Denver C. Cuezon thanked the Brethren for a job well done for an excellent conferral, an observation seconded by DGL VW Raymond Padua, who also expressed the same in behalf of DDGM VW Joji Bulawin.
A fraternal banquet and fellowship followed at the JDML 305's favorite place, the Mariners' Home at Julio Nakpil St., Malate Manila. During the fellowship, Bro. Ferdie was warmly welcomed by the Brethren through the JDML 305's traditional jug-a-lug. |

Sunshine for the Grand Master |

Yesterday, September 6, 2008, the Brethren of Jacques DeMolay Memorial Lodge No.305 went for a Sunshine visit to GM Boy Aniag who was admitted at St. Lukes Hospital because of dengue. Leading the brethren in giving cheers and sunshine to MW Kuya Boy was Worshipful Master Jonathan Denver C. Cuezon and his Wardens, Brother Senior Warden, Francis E. Blanco and Brother Junior Warden, Ariel V. Gumabon. Also present were VW Wilson Lee, District Grand Lecturer of Masonic District NCR-A, Brother Cris M. Gaerlan and Brother Ryan Meliton.
The Brethren had a cheerful conversation with the Grand Master and his family while watching the La Salle vs. Ateneo Basketball match on TV. Although the GM's team (La Salle) lost the match, he was happy and thankful to the brethren of his "only other Lodge," Jacques DeMolay Lodge 305, for the visit. The Brethren expressed gladness to MW Kuya Boy's quick recovery from his illness and wished the Grand Master for a full recovery soon. |
