JDML 305 15th Anniversary Celebration: Simple Pero Rock PDF Print E-mail

JDML 305 15th AnniversaryJDML 305's June 27, 2008 stated meeting was not an ordinary meeting. It was occasioned for the commemoration of the Lodge's 15th Anniversary and highlighted by the attendance of the Lodge's most prominent dual member - the sitting Grand Master of Masons of the Philippines, MW Pacifico B. Aniag.

Not only was it his Official Visitation in his capacity as Grand Master, but GM Aniag said, that he chose to attend the meeting because he is a founding Charter and active dual member of the Lodge, and wanted to be with the Brethren in celebrating the Lodge's Fifteenth Anniversary. Brethren from various Lodges, notably those from Masonic District NCR-A, also came to bring felicitations and glad tidings to the Lodge.

Taking cue from WM Jonathan D.C. Cuezon, the Lodge received and welcomed the Grand Master and his Party with Grand Honors. The Grand Master's party was composed of the Officers of Masonic District NCR-A, led by DDGM VW Joselito Bulawin, DGLs VW Wilson Lee and VW Paul Ibasco and Grand Lodge Inspectors, WI Reynaldo M. Tomampo Jr., WI Manuelito O. Valloso, VWI Charles Agar.

After the regular transaction of Lodge business, GM Pacifico Aniag was given the floor for a speech. Starting off with a congratulatory message to the Brethren of the Lodge, GM Aniag then proceeded with an inspirational address.
He extolled the Brethren for the successes of the Lodge and said that if measured by any and all standards, to reach 15 years is not an easy feat to achieve. The Lodge now being 15 is no longer at its infant stage, but still on its way to full maturity. But having reached 15 years is enough proof to show that the lodge is indeed on the right track. GM Aniag mentioned that he never failed to tell the many just recently constituted lodges that it is always easy to organize and found a Lodge, but to sustain and nurture it to maturity is the most hard and difficult part.

GM Aniag cited that the success of JDML 305 lies on three essential points, first is that the Brethren has a deep understanding of what it is to be Freemasons. Secondly, that the sustainability and steady growth of the Lodge can be attributed to its dynamic leadership, and lastly, the lodge was built upon a solid foundation, that of being a lodge founded by DeMolays. Once again, MW Aniag, expressed that where he is now, he owes so much for his being DeMolay and to the support his Brother DeMolays, especially the Jacques DeMolay Memorial Lodge No. 305, had given him.

MW Aniag's speech was capped by three raps from the east and a prolonged round of applause from all therein assembled.

After the Lodge closed, the brethren gathered in a fraternal banquet to celebrate JDML 305's 15th Anniversary. The JDML 305 15th anniversary celebration was not a Grand banquet held in a Grand Hall. JDML 305 prepared just a simple feast in a small cafeteria of a Hotel for Mariners. But what makes the celebration Grand is the strong fellowship and fraternal spirit that filled the air.

Pack of Wolvz Who needs flair and fanfare when it is an undeniable fact that JDML 305 knows how to party at any given time. Through Bro. JW Ariel Gumabon, JDML 305 invited The Pack Of Wolvz , an alternative rock band, some members of whom are Senior Demolays, to give a gig during the night. The band played and the Brethren stayed on, bonded and jammed till dawn.

The Jacques DeMolay Memorial Lodge 305's 15th Anniversary Celebration was a great success. This succesful event was a result of a collaboration of efforts among the Brethren, steered by the able leadership of the Lodge's three pillars, WM Jonathan Denver Cuezon, Bro. SW Francis Blanco and Bro. JW Ariel Gumabon. Also, with the untiring support and guidance of the Lodge's Past Masters, most specially VW Jojo Javier.

The Brethren of Jacques DeMolay Memorial Lodge 305 wish to thank all those who came and shared fellowship with us, with special mention to the Pack of Wolvz. We hope to see you all again on our next anniversary celebration.
