"Quar nous navons volu ne volons le Temple mettre en aucune servitute se non tant come il hy affiert."
(For we did not and do not wish the Temple to be placed in any servitude except that which is fitting.)
-- Jacques de Molay in one of his memoranda to Pope Clement V from the summer of 1306.

This speech was given during the 17th Public Installation of Officers for Masonic Year 2009 of Jacques DeMolay Memorial Lodge No.305. To wit:

"Worshipful Master Francis Blanco, Most Worshipful Pacifico Aniag Grand Master of the Most Worshipful Grand lodge of free and accepted masons of the Philippines, VW Joselito Bulawin, DDGM of NCRA, WI Reynaldo Tomampo our Grand Lodge Inspector, VW sirs, W sirs, Brethren and Sisters, my Brother DeMolays, Friends of Masons, Ladies & Gentlemen, Good evening.

Before anything else I would like to thank the Great Architect of the Universe first for making all things possible. I would like to take this opportunity to express my heart felt gratitude to my brethren in Jacques DeMolay Memorial Lodge No 305 for giving me this past masters apron, jewel and patent.

Thank you also my brethren for your unselfish support and cooperation during my term. Most especially in the execution of the long term program which was started before my term for the rehabilitation of our lodge finances.

Please allow me to make mention of individuals who I believe has contributed to the success of my term. MW Pacifico Aniag thank you very much for your support to all our lodge activities and for giving us your time. Your brethren in JDML 305 are very proud to tell other lodges that you are a Senior DeMolay and also a member of our lodge.

To the Past Masters of JDML 305 thank you very much for your wisdoms and advices especially during the times when we need to make critical decisions for the good of our lodge. Thank you very much VW sirs even for sharing your resources just to make our activities possible and special.

To the District Officers thank very much VW sirs and W sirs for your guidance and for keeping all our Masonic labors on the right track.

To my wardens, now our WM Francis Blanco and SW Ariel Gumabon, thank you very much for being there always to assist me during our Masonic labors and even during refreshments. Worshipful Master, while we will work in the lodge at your will and pleasure, as your IPM please allow me to remind you never to forget to continue to fulfill the long term plan program for our lodge which we have started since Masonic Year 2007.

To my secretary Bro Cris thank very much for sharing us your talents and expertise in providing the lodge an impressive web site and for keeping always our reports up to date. I believe our worthy bro sec has inculcated in his mind the Order of DeMolay popular slogan that says “so goes the scribe, so goes the chapter”.

To my brother DeMolays, Sisters and friends of masons thank you very much for your support. You always make all our activities special.

And most of all I would like to thank my lovely wife, your sister Gaylil, for her unconditional support not just as my wife but to all my activities especially our endeavors and activities in freemasonry. Thank you very much sweetheart for your untiring patience and understanding.

Brethren because of your trust and confidence to me I believe we have made Masonic year 2008 a more memorable and fruitful term.

Brethren while this Past Masters Apron, Jewel and Patent will have a special place in my heart, these will also serve as a reminder for me to support always all the labors and activities of our lodge and as a new member of JDML 305 Past Masters I will join my fellow Past Masters to make sure always that our lodge will comply with the standards of freemasonry.

Again thank you very much brethren and friends for making all our endeavors, programs and activities possible and successful. Most especially for maintaining harmony in our lodge and for Keeping DeMolay Tradition Alive.

Good evening."
